Learning

What is learning? Learning is all based on life experiences and somewhat how you grew up. Some people think that they can only learn a certain way (visual, hands-on) but that is actually a myth. Learning can happen at any place at any time. Even from me writing this blog post, I am learning what to write by the things that I am studying for this. With the experiments with animals and to get them to do things a certain way they will put them in certain situations to make them learn. When a mouse is put into a maze and their is a piece of cheese at the end of it, the mouse will eventually find the end but the next time they do the maze they will of had it memorized so that they can get the piece of cheese faster.

  1. Wow. Learning is truly everywhere. I'm glad you took the technique in learning psychology of insight learning, and how we as people and animals learn individually overtime, slowly improving ourselves and becoming more focused on what we are doing. You can see this idea of learning psychology throughout all time, as cave men learned to write and communicate and hunt, as well as scientist realized how to make the light bulb or fly airplanes in the sky! There really is no limit to learning psychology, as it defines our existence and everything we are and will become, from how we act and what we experience. Great blog post! One of my favorites!

  2. It was interesting to me to learn the theory of learning styles is a myth. I thought there were specific ways for everyone to learn. I believe that we can learn a lot just from being around people and having different experiences. Sometimes, the experiences we have can teach us more than what we can learn in the classroom.

  3. I really enjoyed this chapter the most. I never really thought much about learning until we started going over it. I know I have learned a lot of things from experiences of my own, and I think those are some of the most important things to learn in life. Good blog post I enjoyed reading it!

  5. You and I both have the same perspective of learning, learning is a universal and very dimensional concept that can be done numerous ways. I prefer hands on the most because I am typically a slow learner and do not enjoy lecture type of learning if it is a subject I am not comfortable with. .
