Developmental Psychology
In this task I chose to do option 1. In the Ted Talk with Dr. Nadine Burke Harris, she is talking about how childhood trauma affects health across a lifetime. Through her study, this changed her whole career and her life. In the video she talks about how when a child goes through sexual, physical, or emotional abuse are more likely to have the diseases that some people may get in their life. Someone who does not go through these things are just fine throughout their lives while the people who are exposed to this kind of trauma do end up with way more diseases. How strange is that to happen? As a child I have personally ben through all three abuses and even more. I have been though a parent dying, a parent emotionally abusing me, a step-parent sexually abusing me, and a family member physically abusing me. Though I do not show signs of these things having an impact on me, later in the future they may have a major impact on my health and my life.

Hey Stormy, I'm really sorry that these things happened to you, I do like the content in your blog as well, one thing I would suggest is some picture or videos to make it more interesting, but otherwise I do like what you had to say
